In a bid to contain Covid-19 cases, Oman has extended the entry ban for 12 countries — including Pakistan, India and Bangladesh — until further notice. The order comes into effect from June 5.

The decision to extend the entry ban was taken at a meeting of the country's Supreme Committee on Covid-19, the Oman News Agency reports.

The other countries on the entry ban list are: United Kingdom, Sudan, Brazil, Nigeria, Egypt, the Philippines, Tanzania, Sierra Leone and Ethiopia. Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam have also been added to the list.
