Pakistan's Covid positivity rate drops to lowest since March 3 as cases continue to decline
Pakistan's coronavirus positivity rate during the last 24 hours was 3.72 per cent, the lowest it has been since March 3 when it was recorded as 3.75pc.
During the last 24 hours, the country reported 1,771 new cases and 71 deaths. The number of cases and deaths has drastically increased after Eidul Fitr and in the wake of restrictions imposed to stem a third Covid wave.
Breakdown of deaths and cases reported during last 24 hours:
- Sindh: 914 cases, 19 deaths
- Punjab: 424 cases, 40 deaths
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 273 cases, 6 deaths
- Balochistan: 70 cases, 3 deaths
- Islamabad: 62 cases, 2 deaths
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 18 cases, 1 death
- Gilgit-Baltistan: 10 cases
