BAHAWALPUR: A woman, along with her four accomplices, including a doctor, allegedly chopped off the private parts of her husband on Friday night in Satellite Town, in the limits of Baghdadul Jadid police station.

According to police sources, victim Shairaz, 18, a farmer and resident of 12/BC village, married Ms Rizwana alias Kiran, who had four children from her first husband. The couple had strained relations.

The sources said on Friday night Kiran, along with her son (from her first husband) Asad, a doctor, Qaisar, and two other accomplices allegedly tied Shairaz to a charpoy and chopped off his private parts with a sharp-edged knife and fled the scene.

On an emergency call, the Rescue 1122 staff rushed to the spot and shifted Shairaz to the the Bahawal Victoria Hospital’s emergency ward, where his condition was stated to be serious.

District police Public Relations Officer Umar Saleem said prime suspect Rizwana had been arrested, while police were looking for the remaining suspects. Further investigation was in progress, he added.
