LONDON, Oct 21: A cricket bat used by England fast bowler Harold Larwood during the MCC’s Bodyline tour of Australia in 1932-33 has been sold for US$12,540 at auction.

The bat, signed by the England team, was sold by auctioneers Keys in Aylsham, Norfolk.

Experts had estimated that the batwould fetch about $2410.

A spokeswomen for Keys said the souvenir had been bought by a private collector.

The bat had been given away by Larwood and came to light in a loft earlier this year, she said.—PPI
