LAHORE: PPP MPAs Raees Nabeel Ahmed and Ghazanfer Ali Khan from PP-265 and PP-255, respectively, called on Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and expressed their complete confidence in his leadership.
Both the MPAs apprised the chief minister of the problems and needs of the people of their constituencies. Mr Buzdar said that remote and backward areas were intentionally neglected during the previous regime despite the fact that development and progress was the right of every city and town. He said the former rulers deliberately plundered funds of backward areas and this unjustified distribution of resources in the past substantially increased the deprivations of backward areas.
He said the incumbent government believed in composite development and taking the backward areas along in its journey of development and progress. “Anti-development elements cannot befool the people any more through their false propaganda,” the chief minister said and added that the government would continue its mission of public service without caring about the criticism.
He said honour and respect of public representatives would be ensured and genuine and legitimate work of elected representatives would not be stopped.
