Punjab has recorded 2,190 new infections in the last 24 hours, marking a decrease in new cases after three straight days of over 3,000 new cases. The provincial tally has increased to 290,788.
It also confirmed 26 additional fatalities from the virus, taking the death toll to 7,990.
