The other members of the Peer Review Committee included Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Jehanzeb Khan and senior officers of Establishment Division, Cabinet Division, Finance Division and Planning Division.

The targets of ministries were based on the following four categories of initiatives: (i) Administrative and internal financial matters (ii) Key initiatives under PSDP (iii) Key programmes not included in PSDP (iv) Key policy/ reforms initiatives.

Ministries furnished the status of their targets in the performance reports in the following format: (i) Total targets in Performance Agreements (ii) Completed targets (iii) Partially completed targets (iv) Initiated targets (v) Initiatives not started.

The review committee gave their feedback on the performance of ministries as well.

Mr Arbab said on the occasion that this feedback would help ministries in the completion of their quarterly and annual targets.

He also said in order to reduce the time span for completion of initiatives and improve the service delivery, monthly meetings of ministries and divisions with the highest level of dependencies will be held.
