LAHORE, Oct 18: The Jamaatud Daawa will construct two-room homes for a maximum of earthquake victims.
Party’s relief activities in-charge Maulana Amir Hamza told a press conference here on Tuesday that roofs of these homes would be of tin to keep the cost low, besides avoiding casualties owing to heavy concrete roofs in any eventuality in future.
It would also construct one tin-roofed mosque in each village devastated by the Oct 8 tremors, he said.
The party had also devoted a 116-kanal tract in Rawalpindi to raise the children orphaned in the quake, he added.
According to him, they had shifted 10,000 relief workers, including 1,000 doctors, to the affected areas for carrying out relief and rescue operations and providing supplies to the victims. — Staff Reporter
