LAHORE: Zia Shahid, columnist and the owner of Liberty Papers Private Ltd, a media house that publishes a couple of daily newspapers and runs a TV channel, passed away here on Monday.

He was suffering from kidney problem and other diseases and was admitted to the Sheikh Zayed Hospital for the last two weeks.

His funeral prayers will be offered at N-Block ground, Model Town, here at 4.20pm on Tuesday.
