Call for probe details of Pakistani Hindus killed in Jodhpur

ISLAMABAD: Families of 11 Pakistani Hindus killed in Jodhpur last year have called upon the Indian government to share report on investigations into the killings with Islamabad.

The family members held a demonstration outside the Indian High Commission on Friday and condemned the killings.

They expressed concern over the transparency of the probe into the incident.

They urged the Indian government to share its investigation report immediately with the Pakistan government.

All Pakistan Hindu Panchayat Council secretary general Om Prakash Narain said that even Hindus were not safe in India under the right-wing government of Narendra Modi.

He said the BJP government was pursuing an agenda of promoting violence and extremism through Hindu nationalism, but this policy was tarnishing the image of peaceful Hindu communities worldwide.

Mr Narain said that activists of the BJP were very much involved in arson attacks against Hindus in India.

He said that India was embroiled in bloodshed in occupied Jammu and Kashmir by killing innocent civilians there.

The protesters also condemned the continued military occupation of Kashmir by India.
