ISLAMABAD: Robbers, burglars and thieves struck at seven different places in capital and made off with cash and valuables worth millions of rupees, police said.

In the first incident, four armed robbers looted cash and valuables worth Rs3.1million for a house in I-8/2, they added.

They entered the house of Mobinur Rehman and held up the security guards and children at gunpoint. They fled with Rs500,000 in cash, gold ornaments weighing 30 toals and mobiles.

In a similar incident, five armed robbers looted cash and valuables worth Rs700,000 from the house of Shabbir Hussain in Media Town, they added.

Furthermore, burglars broke into the house of Arungzaib in Al-Huda Town and stole cash and valuables worth Rs385,000, they said, adding the residents were away from home.

Moreover, thieves stole cash and valuables worth Rs1million from the house of Azhar Mehmood, located in Bharia Town Phase II.

Electronic equipments worth Rs75,000 were stolen from the house of Mohammad Ghazanvi in I-8/3.

Meanwhile, two Honda 125 were stolen from D-17and a private hospital in H-8.
