MIRPURKHAS, Oct 15: Seven-member of an electric wire theft gang were arrested by the Kot Ghulam Mohammad police with the help of villagers near the Kachhelo Farm. They were stealing wires when the villagers informed the police.
The arrested were Shahzad Arain, Neno Lohar, Mehmood Khaskheli, Deedar, Khawind Dino, Mohammad Hussain and Ghulam Rasool.
Police registered a case against them and recovered a truck loaded with stolen electric wires, two motorcycles and arms from their possession.
ROBBERY: An unidentified person was injured by robbers near the Khan town, Mirpurkhas taluka.
Two persons were going somewhere from the Nauratan Mela of the Hindu community when some robbers intercepted them near a saline water drain and deprived them of Rs1,300.
One of them offered resistance and robbers attacked him. He suffered injuries and was taken to the basic health unit.
DIES: Pakistan Human Rights Foundation Chairman Abdul Qadir Baloch died of cardiac arrest on Wednesday. He died in the civil hospital, Mirpurkhas, and his funeral was attended by a large number of people.
