SHIKARPUR, Oct 15: Two people were killed in a deadly clash between two rival groups in kutcha area near Jhalli Kalwari, on Saturday. Ghulam Shabbir Narejo of the Nareja Village was gunned down by Atrani Jatoi tribesmen when he was on his way to fields.

In retaliation, the Narejo tribesmen came out of their houses and clashed with the Jatois. As a result of exchange of fire, one Allah Dino Atrani Jatoi was killed.

The motive behind the incident is said to be a matter of extortion demanded from one Inayatullah Kalwar.

Reports suggested that some Jatoi tribesmen demanded extortion money through Ghulam Shabbir Narejo, when Kalwar refused to pay money to Jatois, a group of Jatoi clansmen shot dead Ghulam Shabbir Narejo, who had failed to help in getting extortion money from his landlord Inayatullah.

Two separate cases have been registered at the concerned police stations.
