Common man’s plight

Published

WITH all the politics going on these days, it looks like the lot of the common man in whose name all politics is conducted is nobody’s concern. Likewise, the common man is least bothered about the state of politics or even economy for he remains busy arranging the next meal for his family. What matters the most to him is regular supply of essential items at affordable rates, and that is a luxury these days.

The numbers speak for themselves, but the common man has no time for numbers. All he knows is that he has to somehow keep the show going; the show of his daily life.

The government seems more focussed on keeping the underprivileged dependent on doles instead of initiating skill development programmes for sustainable income and economic growth.

According to the government, ‘organised mafia’ has been forestalling change and ‘spreading negativity’. Has this mafia taken Pakistan to where it now stands? If this is the case, shouldn’t Pakistan be looking for a leadership that may prevail over the mafias and take Pakistan to where it should be?
