RAWALPINDI: A 10-year-old boy was hospitalised with leg fracture he suffered while catching a stray kite near Pirwadhai on Sunday.

Mohammad Maaz, a resident of Qasimabad, was hit by a wagon while trying to catch a stray kite.

The injured was shifted to Holy Family Hospital where he was stated to be out of danger.

Despite police crackdown since Friday, kite flying continued in different parts of the city even on Sunday.

Police said they arrested 43 people and recovered a large number of kites and strings on Sunday.

Police have also started searching for those spotted through drones and cameras while flying kites.

The Punjab government has already imposed a ban on kite flying and selling across the province and had directed the police to strictly implement the ban.
