I HAD a bizarre experience at a private bank’s Madina Town branch in Faisalabad when I went to pay my monthly PTCL landline bill for the month of January. When I walked to the counter, I was told by the staff that they do not accept payments for bills on the ‘due date’.
I was not paying my bill after the due date had passed. I was paying the bill on the ‘due date’ itself which of course was within the given timeframe. The bank, however, still refused to accept the bill.
I would like to know from the authorities concerned why the payment was not received on the due date and whether they actually know what ‘due date’ means.
