Vietnam plans to acquire 150 million doses for its Covid-19 vaccination programme, as the health ministry said a medical panel had recommended it to approve Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine and the Moderna vaccine for use in the Southeast Asian country.

The 150m doses will include both those directly purchased and doses obtained via the Covax vaccine-sharing scheme, according to a ruling posted on the government’s website.
