Crumbling roads

Published

EVERY year a huge budget is allotted for the construction and maintenance of roads in Pakistan. However, just a short ride from any point to another is enough to know that the process reeks of nothing but mismanagement and neglect.

Several roads are in a depleted condition in any city. In Hyderabad, many have been rendered useless owing to the damage by rainwater in the previous monsoon season. People are fed up of writing and filing complaints to their respective union councils, but to no avail.

No action has been taken to provide better roads to the public. Is there anyone listening?
