OKARA, Oct 11: An assistant sub-inspector was beaten up by nine men, including two lawyers, at the premises of the district courts on Tuesday. Reports said an advocate, Yousaf, got registered FIR no 568/05 at Satgrah police station against some persons.

ASI Noor Ahmed, being investigating officer of the case, declared two of the nominated persons— Bhutto and Shaukat— as innocent. The annoyed complainant lawyer, along with another lawyer, Nawaz Bhatto, and seven unidentified persons, thrashed the ASI and torn his uniform outside the court of Additional Sessions Judge Khizar Hayat Sial.

Police have registered the case.
