PESHAWAR: The Khyber Medical University has announced schedule of interviews for candidates to be admitted to the public sector medical and dental colleges of the province.
The decision was taken in light of the provincial government’s approval to enhance seats in various medical and dental colleges.
KMU Vice-Chancellor Dr Ziaul Haq chaired a meeting in this connection to finalise the admission process, according to a press release issued here on Monday.
Secretary health Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah, Registrar Dr Mohammad Saleem Gandapur, deputy director admissions Arshad Khan and others were in presence.
The meeting decided to conduct interviews of open merit candidates on February 17 and 18.
As per the schedule, the open merit candidates from merit No 206 to 700 will appear in interview on Feb 17, candidates from merit No 701 to 1,100 on Feb 18, and general self-finance candidates from merit No 64 to 450 will have to appear in interview on Feb 19.
The release said list of vacant seats in different colleges had already been displayed on the university’s website.
The candidates desirous to be upgraded/shifted to colleges should reach the KMU’s main campus, Phase 5, Hayatabad, strictly following the Covid-19 SOPs.
