KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Public Health Engineering, Rural Development and Mines & Minerals Mir Shabbir Ali Bijarani on Thursday chaired a meeting on declaring the PAF Base Shahbaz and its surrounding areas ‘Jacobabad Cantonment’.

Adviser to the CM on Prisons Mir Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani, senior member Board of Revenue Qazi Shahid Pervaiz and representative officers of the commander of PAF Base Shahbaz also attended the meeting, said a statement.

Shabbir Bijarani described the Shahbaz Base as a national asset and said “we have to secure it in all respects”.

The senior BoR member and air force officers gave a detailed briefing at the meeting.

It was decided after a detailed discussion that the recommendations of the meeting would be forwarded to the Sindh cabinet for further action.
