Law & order situation has improved, says governor

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Amanullah Yasinzai has said that despite having long borders with Afghanistan and Iran, the law and order situation in his province is much better than in the past due to the sacrifices rendered by security agencies.

Addressing under-training officers of the PAF Air War College Course at Governor House on Wednesday, he said Balochistan was rich in natural resources and due to its large area and scattered population it was very difficult to provide basic amenities to the people, but the current government was making all-out efforts to provide such facilities across the province.

Air Commodore Kashif Jamal led the delegation of the trainee officers during their meeting with Mr Yasinzai at the Governor House.

Governor Yasinzai said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a game changer for the entire region and investors could take financial benefit by investing in mineral and other sectors in Balochistan.

The trainee officers asked questions related to the CPEC, ongoing development process in Balochistan, the law and order situation, technical and vocational training centers, agriculture and livestock and the governor answered them in detail.
