SOCCER: Probables list reduced

LAHORE, Oct 9: The probables’ list of the Pakistan youth football team has been reduced to 30 from 40 by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).

The team is to take part in the AFC championship qualifying round (Group-E) to be played at Dushanbe, Tajikistan in November this year.

Pakistan will take on Uzbekistan on Nov 23 and Tajikistan on Nov 25 at the Republican Central Stadium having capacity of 20,000. The all-central Asian encounter between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will be played on Nov 27.

Probables:

Goalkeepers: Imran (Army), Bilal Rafiq (Wohaib Club), Ghulam Nabi (Balochistan), Tariq Mehmood (Army).

Defenders: Akmal (Sindh), M. Waseem (NWFP), Omair Aslam (Islamabad), Bashir (Balochistan), Naqeeb Ullah (NWFP), Shehbaz (Army), Khalid Zaman (NWFP), Azam (Sindh), Adnan (Punjab), Zubair Moazam (Punjab), Yasir Afridi (FATA).

Midfielders: Nadeem Abbas (Punjab), Awais Shinwari (FATA), Jadeed Khan (Balochistan), Asmat Khan (Balochistan), Khalid Munir (Army), Waqas Ali (Balochistan), Asghar (Balochistan), Faisal Ikram (NWFP).
