Quality of textbooks
THE quality of textbooks printed by different textbook boards for matriculation and intermediate classes is of inferior quality and can be improved by paying due attention.
Many of these textbooks contain spelling mistakes and grammar errors, while the pictures and graphics used are of poor quality. Even the paper used for these books is not up to the mark. The pathetic quality of these textbooks discourages students from studying.
The officials of the educational boards should improve the quality of their textbooks, taking into account content and product if they are serious about raising the standard and quality of education. The provincial governments should also look into the matter immediately.
