KARACHI: The government has delayed in accepting the demands of the heirs of the Mach martyrs while banned parties are being supported in a systematic manner in the country.

This was stated by Majlis-i-Wahdatul Muslimeen head Allama Raja Nasir Abbas. He was speaking at a ‘Martyrs’ Conference’ organized by MWM at Masjid-o-Imambargah Khairul Amal Ancholi in which a large number of people belonging to different schools of thought participated.

He said that FIRs were being lodged against mourners and that “lawsuits are being filed against our scholars at the behest of officials backed by banned parties in government institutions”

Raja Nasir Abbas while saluting the martyrs of the homeland said that there is only one force that is burning the Muslim Ummah — the fire of terrorism. Doctors, engineers, poets and preachers were targeted in the country.

The MWM chief added that “We have serious concerns about missing persons.”

Cases of enforced disappearances should be brought before the courts in accordance with the requirements of the law, he said.
