The delimitation will be carried out in Abbottabad, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Kohat, Mardan and Swat, according to a statement issued by ECP.
According to the schedule, the initial delimitations would be completed by January 28.
The delimitation committee will display lists of the councils on January 29for the public objections and suggestions while people can submit their objection and suggestion till January 30.
The delimitation authority would take decision over the public objections and suggestions on February 28.
The authority will inform the delimitation committees on March 7 while it will release the final lists of the councils on March 8.
ECP also arranged a training workshop for the members of the delimitation committees.
Addressing the training workshop, the provincial election commissioner, Sharifullah, said that delimitation of councils was an important step for holding local bodies’ elections.
He asked the members of the delimitation committees to fulfil the task of delimitation amicably.
He asked the committee members to focus on the legal aspects of the delimitation during their training as people took keen interest in the delimitation of their areas.
