ISLAMABAD: A man was shot dead in the capital, allegedly over an old enmity.

The victim was identified as Zain Abbas, native of Sihala Khurd. According to police, after attending a marriage ceremony, Abbas was having food outside his house when some people shot him and escaped; he died at the spot and later, his body was shifted to the hospital for further legal procedure. Station house officer of Sihala Inspector Gulfaraz told Dawn that the victim’s father said that his son was murdered by his rivals to settle a score as he was involved in the murder of a man in 2002 but had been acquitted from the charge later.
