As many as 36 staff members and prisoners in the district jail in Turbat city of Kech district have tested positive for Covid-19.

Official sources said that among the Covid-19 infected patients in the jail, there were five members of the jail staff, including a deputy superintendent.

The virus-infected jail staff had been quarantined in their homes and prisoners had been shifted to isolation places in tight security, Yasin Baloch, superintendent of Turbat Jail told Dawn.
