A meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has been informed that Karachi has the highest positivity rate in the country ie 18 per cent.

The national positivity rate is 7.2pc, the NCOC said in a statement. Hyderabad has the second-highest positivity rate at 16.5pc, followed by Peshawar at 15.9pc.

The countrywide positivity rates are as follows:

• Sindh: 14.8pc
• Punjab: 3.2pc
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 11.3pc
• Balochistan: 4.9pc
• Islamabad: 2.9pc
• Gilgit Baltistan: 1.6pc
• Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 5pc
