GILGIT, Jan 20: Gilgit Taxi Drivers’ Union on Sunday staged a demonstration to protest against the killing of a taxi driver, Moosa Sultan.

According to the Gilgit police, a heroin addict, Nasir, hired Moosa’s taxi on Saturday night but refused to pay the fare when he reached his home in Baseen.

He went into his home, came out with an axe and hit Moosa in the head, killing him on the spot.
