Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded a spike in cases with 688 new infections reported in the last 24 hours, up from 232 a day earlier. According to the government's Covid-19 portal, the province's total stands at 52,092.

Meanwhile, Balochistan has reported 41 more cases of the virus, taking its caseload to 17,737.

In the last 24 hours, KP has confirmed eight more deaths while Balochistan has confirmed two, taking their death tolls to 1,463 and 175, respectively.
