PESHAWAR, Jan 20: The Islamic Students Movement in Pakistan (NWFP) has termed the banning of extremist groups by President Pervez Musharraf as bold and commendable.

In a press statement issued here on Sunday, a spokesmen of Islamic Student Movement (ISM) said the radical and extremist elements have blemished the image of Islam and Pakistan in the eyes of the world community.

“The president has rightly said that no person or organization would be allowed to make the people of Pakistan hostage of their fundamentalist approach.”—APP
