1,199 new cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Sindh, taking the provincial tally to 162,227, according to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

Seventeen more people lost their lives due to the virus, with Sindh's death toll climbing to 2,816.

A total of 11,537 tests were carried out during the last 24 hours in Sindh, according to Shah.
