ISLAMABAD, Sept 30: Senate Chairman Mohammadmian Soomro has expressed his deep sense of shock and grief over the sad demise of a veteran jurist and former chief justice of Sindh High Court, Justice (retired) Abdul Hafeez Memon who died of cardiac arrest in Karachi Thursday evening.
In his message of condolence, the Senate chairman lauded the services rendered by the late chief justice of Sindh High Court and said in his death legal community had been deprived of a sincere colleague and a leading expert on law.
He prayed to God Almighty to shower his blessings on the departed soul and grant solace to the bereaved family to bear the loss with equanimity.
Mr Soomro has also condoled the death of a renowned Urdu poet Umeed Fazli. He prayed to Allah Almighty to shower his blessings on the departed soul and grant fortitude and courage to the members of the bereaved family to bear the great loss.
Meanwhile, Leader of the House in the Senate Wasim Sajjad has also condoled the sad demise of former chief justice of Sindh High Court Justice (retired) Abdul Hafeez Memon as a great loss to the legal community. He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant solace to the members of the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
