KARAK: PML-N provincial president Amir Muqam and former deputy speaker of National Assembly Murtaza Javaid Abbasi on Sunday alleged that wrong policies of the government had virtually destroyed the country’s economy.

They said this while addressing workers convention here in Karak. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders said that inflation and unemployment had made the life miserable for the people. They claimed that PML-N had the capacity to pull the country out of the prevailing mess and put it back on the path of progress and prosperity.

They alleged that the PTI government had pushed the country to the brink of bankruptcy in its two and a half years, adding that Imran Khan had proved to be the most incompetent prime minister in the country’s history. They said that injustice with the Sharif family was in fact an injustice with economy of the country. They claimed that formation of Pakistan Democratic Movement was meant to oust the incompetent rulers from power corridors and restore true democratic order in the country.

They demanded free, fair and transparent elections in the country to give a choice to the masses to elect their true representatives in a transparent way.

They claimed that fake cases were registered against the PML-N leadership and their children.

Party’s district president Mian Akhlaq Younas also spoke on this occasion.

DHQ HOSPITAL TO BE UPGRADED: Provincial minister for finance and health Taimoor Saleem Jhagra has approved upgradation of the district headquarters hospital, Karak, and announced to release Rs90 billion liabilities of the district’s share in the oil and gas royalty funds.

He was addressing a ceremony held here the other day to inaugurate Nusratabad-Jehangeri Road.

The minister said that 15 hospitals would be upgraded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the DHQ hospital, Karak, was one of them. He said that health cards would be provided to each household across the country.

Mr Jhagra announced that Makh Banda Dam would be completed with Rs830 million to resolve the drinking water problem of the local people and irrigate lands.

The provincial minister claimed that the district would soon have a network of well-carpeted roads and modern hospitals.
