Sindh reports 979 new cases, 14 deaths as infections climb

Sindh has reported 979 new cases and 14 deaths in the past 24 hours, a statement by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said.

A bulk of the newly-detected cases emerged in Karachi where 789 people tested positive, the statement said.

Currently, 8,573 patients are under treatment across the province, out of which 339 are in a critical condition.
