PESHAWAR, Sept 29: US-based Islamic scholar Yahya Hendi on Thursday stressed the need for interfaith dialogues, saying that open discussion could help nations understand the diversities of different faiths and provide them opportunities to remain peaceful and be accommodative. About the 9/11 incident, Mr Yahya said it had not only shocked the Christians and Jews, but also Muslims, as 600 Muslims had been killed.
He dispelled the impression that the Jews had hatched the 9/11 conspiracy. Hundreds of Jews had also died in the attack, the Islamic scholar said. He was speaking on the “Religious Diversities in the US” at the Islamic Peshawar University.
