Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has urged citizens to follow Covid-19 SOPs, warning that the virus "has started hitting new highs again" in the province.

He said out of the 11,504 samples tested during the last 24 hours, 473 returned positive, which constituted a 4.1 per cent detection rate. “Our detection rate has started increasing from 2pc to over [4pc] which needs to be contained,” he added.

Shah said infections were increasing in the province because people were not following the health guidelines.

“For God's sake be careful; protect yourself and your families,” he urged residents.
