Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah says Covid-19 has "started hitting new highs again", with 473 new infections reported in the province in the last 24 hours, the highest daily increase since the first week of August.

The province's total infections now stand at 145,238. Nine more people also lost their lives due to the virus, with Sindh's overall death toll rising to 2,620.

A total of 11,504 tests were conducted in the province in the last day.
