The Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam, Germany conducted a study in cells in May which shows sweet wormwood, a common herb, could help combat Covid-19 that has claimed more than one million lives worldwide, Reuters reported.
There's a long way to go before sweet wormwood, or artemisia annua, is proven to help treat Covid-19.
Clinical trials are underway in Mexico, with results expected in the next two to three months, Peter Seeberger, director of the Max Planck Institute, told Reuters.
