LAHORE: A bus carrying passengers, including children and women, caught fire at the Peco Road here on Tuesday.

However, no injury to any passenger was reported in the incident, the police and the Rescue 1122 officials said.

The bus caught fire suddenly when it was close to a traffic signal at Peco Road, a police official said.

He said many passengers jumped out of the windows as they noticed the fire spreading in the backside of the bus. He said the fire broke out due to a short circuit in wires. Rescue 1122 put off the fire.
