The National Command and Control Centre (NCOC) says holdings of public gatherings "should be discouraged in view of their potential to become super-spreaders", and that "preferably no public gathering [should] be held except those related to economic activity".
If such gatherings are unavoidable, then they should be held in well-defined venues which facilitate the enforcement of SOPs, it said in a statement.
It advised children and the elderly against attending public events and for individuals with comorbidities or Covid-related symptoms to be barred from the venues.
