Punjab has confirmed 203 new Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours, reporting more than 200 cases for the first time since August 15 when it recorded 210 cases of the coronavirus. The province's total infections have risen to 100,687.

It has also reported five additional fatalities from the virus, taking the provincial death toll to 2,257.

More than 96,500 people have recovered in the province so far.
