Hazara Express to run from Oct 19

PESHAWAR, Sept 25: The railways has decided to start a fast Hazara Express train service between Havelian and Karachi from Oct 19, which will offer some incentives to passengers, including free meal during the journey. Director, Marketing and Commercial, Pakistan Railway Advisory and Consultancy Services, Mohammad Salim, said during a visit to the divisional information office in Abbottabad on Saturday that the Hazara Express would leave Havelian at 3.30pm and arrive from Karachi at 7.50am.

He said the train would reach Karachi in record time, saving one night of the passengers. He said Rs635 would be charged for seat and Rs710 for seat with berth.

He said the train would have a dinning car and mobile telephone facility would be offered to the passengers during the journey. He said bedclothes would also be provided to the passengers for Rs20.

He said booking offices would be opened in every town in Hazara. He said a pick and drop service from Mansehra to Havelian station would be started to facilitate the passengers.

He said concession would be offered on return tickets and for the first 15 days of the service.—APP
