LAHORE, Sept 24: Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh and Bhakkar marched into the semifinals of the fourth Sports Board Punjab Inter-district under-17 football championship in Faisalabad on Saturday.

A decisive goal by Waheed enabled Bahawalpur to beat Mandi Bahauddin in a high scoring match 7-6.

Besides Waheed the other scorers for the winners were Aon Shah (2), Naveed, Atif, Kashif and Rehman with one goal each.

For the losers, Navid and Aftab scored two goals each while Sarfraz and Sami struck one goal apiece.

Two goals by Taimur helped hosts Faisalabad beat Kasur 6-0.

The other scorers were Tariq, Adnan, Kashif and Shahid who struck one goal each.

The solitary goal of the match by Hafeez propelled Toba Tek Singh to 1-0 win over Bahawalnagar.

Bhakkar beat Lahore 2-1. Sanaullah and Faheem scored for the winners while Khurram reduced the margin for Lahore.
