Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed hope that a vaccine for the Covid-19 would soon be available and be equally accessible to all countries.

While speaking at the virtual Financing for Development High-Level Summit that is being held on the sidelines of UNGA, the premier pointed out that developing countries were hit hardest by the pandemic.

While outlining proposed measures that the global community can take to assist developing countries, the prime minister said that while debt suspension period should be extended, it should not affect the credit rating of the countries at the receiving end as the economic shortfall is "due to force majeure, not mismanagement".
