Primary schools will reopen tomorrow, decides NCOC
The National Command and Operation Centre has decided to reopen primary level schools from Wednesday (tomorrow), Radio Pakistan reported.
Briefing the media in Islamabad, Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood said the decision was taken after consulting with all the provinces. "Since educational institutions reopened on September 15, 171,436 coronavirus tests were carried out in the education sector. Of these, 1,284 came back positive which is less than one per cent," he said.
He added that action will be taken against educational institutions flouting standard operating procedures for curbing the spread of the virus for ensuring children's safety.
