LAHORE, Sept 23: Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi on Friday reiterated that Mumtaz Khan Khichi was the PML-supported candidate to the seat of Vehari district nazim. Presiding over a meeting, he said strict action would be taken under party rules and regulations against the elements opposing the party nominee.

MNAs Aftab Khichi and Nazir Jutt and MPAs from Vehari were also present on this occasion.

The chief minister said the PML leadership would ensure party discipline in Vehari and other districts of the province. He directed Punjab PML Secretary-General Zaheeruddin to issue show cause notice to PML office-bearers and members who were not following the decisions of the party leadership.
