More than 880,000 people have died from the novel coronavirus across the world, according to John Hopkins University

The highest number of casualties have been recorded in the United States, where 188,574 people have succumbed to the disease. Brazil has recorded 126,203 deaths, the second-highest toll from the disease. The third-highest number of casualties has been recorded in India, where 70,626 people have died.
