HYDERABAD, Sept 21: An MPA from Dadu and PML leader, Mr Ehsan Ali Jatoi, has refuted the allegations of the former federal minister for railways, Mr Zafar Ali Laghari, levelled at a press conference here the other day about the election malpractices and depriving the district and sessions judge, Dadu, Mr Amir Ali Thari, of his DRO’s powers.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Wednesday, he claimed that the session judge was rightly deprived of his DRO’s powers as he had become a party in the local body election process. He said he was in possession of documentary evidence on the basis of which the election commission was approached and Mr Thari was deprived of his DRO’s powers.

Mr Jatoi, who is the brother of Federal Minister for Water and Power Liaquat Ali Jatoi, said that the Dadu Ittehad Panel had swept the local body polls in Dadu district and alleged that Mr Thari had stated that if he could have his way, the results of elections of Dadu, Mehar and Khairpur Nathan Shah would be quite different.
